Directions
Birdon have dedicated receiving and storage facilities for Island Trader freight including a secure, dry, warehouse facility with storage racking. Booked freight that is delivered in the week of an Island Trader voyage can be stored on site. Cooler/Freezer/Hazardous waste will only be accepted on Monday, Tuesday and up to 11am on the Wednesday prior to the Island Trader’s departure. Please check Schedule for departure dates.
Birdon is a working construction site with multiple projects taking place simultaneously at our Port Macquarie facility. It is important that drivers making deliveries follow the traffic and safety directions provided and comply with the instructions of Birdon staff. This is to ensure the safety of visitors and our team.

Click here for site map and Check Points for Island Trader deliveries. The speed limit from the entrance of Birdon’s facilities is 10km/h. The maximum height clearance of vehicle and load is 4.2 metres. Upon arrival please wait at Check Point 1 to be greeted by a team member. Drivers are asked not to exit their vehicles until told it is safe to do so by a Birdon team member. If Check Point 1 is unattended please call 0417 892 642.
Some vehicles may be required to unload at Check Point 2. Please go straight to Check Point 1 and await further instructions before moving on to Check Point 2.
Delivery of goods should occur on Monday or Tuesday of the week of departure between the hours of 8.30am and 3pm. To arrange delivery outside of this time please call 0417 892 642.
Birdon is a smoke-free work site. Smoking is not permitted outside of Designated Smoking Areas. These areas are clearly signposted. Please ask a Birdon team member for direction if required.
